Medu vada is a South Indian fritter made from Vigna mungo. It is usually made in a doughnut shape, with a crispy exterior and soft interior. A popular food item in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, it is generally eaten as a breakfast or a snack. Murukku is a savoury, crunchy snack originating from the Indian subcontinent. The name murukku derives from the Tamil word for "twisted", which refers to its shape. In India, murukku is especially popular in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala Adhirasam, kajjaya in Kannada, ariselu in Telugu, anarsa in Marathi, sirsa in Chhattisgarhi or arisa pitha in Odia is a type of Indian sweet from Tamil cuisine, Kannada cuisine, Telugu cuisine, Chhattisgarhi Cuisine, Marathi cuisine and Odia cuisine. Rava Laddu is a delicious Indian Sweet made with suji or semolina.These melt in the mouth ladoo is popularly made during festivals like Ganesha Chaturthi and Krishnashtami. Rava laddu is also called as rava ladoo or suji laddu.where the rava or suji is dry roasted and mixed with coconut, powdered sugar, ghee, and nuts and formed into a ladoo. Gulab jamun (also spelled gulaab jamun) is a milk-solid-based sweet, originating in India and a type of mithai popular in India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Maldives (where it is known as gulab ki janu), and Bangladesh, as well as Myanmar. It is also declared as the national dessert of Pakistan officially by Government of Pakistan. It is also common in nations with substantial populations of people with South Asian heritage, such as Mauritius, Fiji, the Malay Peninsula, Great Britain, South Africa, and the Caribbean countries of Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname. Started by Gits Food in 2020, World Gulab Jamun Day is celebrated on 10th October every year.
